C: 8 Week – Double

$2,122

C: 8 Week – Single

$2,735

single and double only 600 difference... won't it better to pay 600 dollars more and get privacy? >_>

Hey guys... I am confused!
What is the I-House?

I only see Unit 1,2,3, CLARK KERR CAMPUS, STERN, BOWLES and FOOTHILL...
Living at Cal - Rates

As a transfer, we can only apply for Unit 1,2,3??
Which one do you guys think is better?

onigengkishan.... My reception details are indicated that it's locates in San Digeo~~~
Do you think I can go to the one in Los Angeles instead?

I-House (International House), is quasicampus housing; you have to apply to it seperate from the UCB housing application.

Refer to the below link for information, etc:

International House Berkeley: Student housing complex and multi-cultural program center

Guardi, I think they reserve singles to Grad-students.

@Daneortega - I plan on living there too actually! Since I'm a spring transfer, I was thinking about working summer & fall while living at Berkeley. According to the CAL housing website:

"Leases will be offered for a 12 month period. Students requesting 12 month lease recieve priority over those requesting a lease for shorter time periods. Channing-Bowditch is considered “off campus” for budgetary purposes with the Financial Aid Office."

Cool..."priority." This would work out perfectly for me. If I sign a 12 month least, then I can live there while I work during summer and fall, and also live there when I start going to CAL.

@joyjoybear - Yep. The one for San Diego is on the 10th, the one for Inland Empire's on the 13th, and the one for LA is on the 14th. You can choose to go to any really, just whichever's closes to you.

@Guardiangel - Yep, the very same Brea. I live closer to Carbon Canyon though. Bowles is indeed notorious in reputation, but it'll only be available to Freshmans this year! Gah, I was thinking about living there after hearing about all the cool traditions they do there. You can read up on it at:
Bowles Hall - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

@Guardiangel - Oh, and also I would advise to live in a double or triple. It's a bit lonely if you live in a single (I did during freshman year), but it all depends really. If you're the type that studies at the library and hangs out with friends at their dorms and go back to your room only to sleep, then a single is fine.

Dear all,

How you guys going to SF for orientation? and also which day u guys prefer?

hmm... i have very low tolerance for irritation...
and i bite
so yea... for the safety of the other party as well...
ahahaha...
i don't like people going "can i borrow this can i borrow that... can i look at ur notes... can i borrow ur laptop for the day? can i borrow a dollar?"

well probably just bad experiences living with others i guess

iono about SF orientation... if its for fall admits and its held in august i think then its fine...

but i read about a few events in may that is impossible for me to attend due to class >> duh
but wasn't orientation in august for fall admits?
i'll get to know the place in the summer >> wonder what help would orientation bring...

oh oh oh... we all must roll down the 4.0 hill... its a must ahaha

@Onigenghiskhan - Nice! Hopefully we can meet up before we go. What's everyone's facebook here?

Guardiangel,

Transfers can live in any of the dorms. However, most of the dorms will be filled with freshmen except for the mini-suites, Wada, and possibly Channing Bowditch.

Well, with my name there are over 500 results when it comes up on search... so I'd have to tell you some filter information when it comes to advanced search if anyone's willing? PM me if you want to add me to Facebook.

lets carpool... i might go to berkeley this weekend just to campus visit

its like a carpool roadtrip... crazy 8 hours LOL

i'm going up there next weekend... see you there?

someone make a facebook group.

i know that this is socal to cal,

but anyone doing vice versa, bay area to socal?

I'd volunteer to carpool everyone if I didn't drive a truck that only seats 2 people max...

when are u going up Oni?

I don't think I'll be going up this weekend, but I'll probably go up in mid June if I get a 12 month lease for Channing Bowditch.

Why are you guys going up, are you just visiting the campus?
