erm... cuz i got mandatory summer...
well my orientation is july 3rd
and i need to think where m i gonna live before i get my summer dorms
a lot of things to sort out...

mayB i'll go and take a look around and get to know the place or smth..

I'm planning on enrolling in the summer session while working. Since I'm Spring '09, I'll continue working during the fall-time and resume school again in the spring. I just don't want to miss out on all the fun activities and orientation during August...ya know? I know like absolutely no one that goes to Berkeley, so I think it'd be hard to meet people if I started socializing if I arrived starting spring semester. Ideally, if things work out, I'll get to meet people during summertime, still be in contact with them during the fall, then start meeting more people once school begins again in the spring. :) That'd be so awesome~

i'm going up to cal in a few weeks to visit for the weekend (fri-sun)!
and also, question-i'm in the LA area but i got invited to the san diego welcome session. i just emailed yanny (the socal berkeley rep) to see if i can go to the LA one. hmmmm...

i am heavily contemplating between ucla and ucb

i live in socal too, and i love driving my car..
are you guys going to move with your car to berkeley???

i probably would if i pick to go to ucb
however, i heard parking is a big nuisance up there
and word on the street, there have been extreme cases of ultra environmentalists slashing tires or vandalizing cars (not sure if it's true, just heard about it)

@piamonte - I'm planning on driving up there with my bro in my truck to drop off my luggage & furniture. That way I can bring up my goods, and my bro can drive my truck back home (I don't want to deal with parking at Berkeley or at SanFran).

BART FTW ! ! !
eh if i can't go up with u onigeng i'll meet up with u somewhere and we can hangout...
atleast we have each other >_< sry i get scared being alone lol

i haven't joined yet... once u get ur SIR and u go into my berkeley app
its under "next steps" or check list...
it will mention that you have to do it ASAP
i think i'll sign up tomorrow
there is only ONE DAY or the orientation...
every major has different days
for haas its july 3rd so yea =/

Thanks Guardiangel.
I still havent submitted my SIR since I found out I didn't update my work-in-progress class. I dropped a class and enrolled another one, and the one I've dropped is listed on the admission condition. I dunno if it's ok to submit the SIR before they fixed my admission condition. so i have to wait....

@Guardiangel - Aw, I know how you feel. When I was a freshman I originally attended GWU in Washington DC, and knew absolutely no one there! I lived in a single and met a floormate who became my roomate the next year. But fear not! I can save you from...uh, boredom? And join the CC to Cal transfers '08 facegroup! Login | Facebook

We should throw a party so everyone here in Socal can meet up. Good company, good food, and good music = awesome time. Oh, we should make it into a potluck!

Hey all
I also, would like to scout the place before I submit the SIR, is it a bad thing?! I don't want to submit it in two weeks realizing i messed up.
I just don't want to commit before I've been to campus, never been there before...
I was thinking to go on a short roadtrip next weekend (May 9th/10th).
I want to get my Cal email already, but wanna make sure there aren't too many freaks on campus ;@)

I'm a freak, so be afraid! Ahaha, really there are so many types of people that go to CAL so you should be fine. I'm going to go up to CAL probably at the end of this month (with my parents though...), so I'll let people here know if anyone tries something funny on me?

something funny like poke u in the butt?
AHAHAHA meh i m kinda scared who my room mate is gonna be if i don't manage to get a single room
i kinda stink so i don't need another stinky guy in the same room as me
AHAHAHA

egblue-i have an SIR waiting for UCLA, UCB, and UCSB, and i'm not submitting anything until i see Cal's campus to make sure i'm not gonna miss much when i submit to UCLA...

want to transfer back to USC in a year or two

see you guys there. if anyone needs a ride for CalSO for June 23-24 session, you can PM me. I'm driving up Sunday night for Monday morning arrival. Can't have too much packed for CalSO though, my roadster's tiny and doesn't really have a trunk haha
