<p>Once drop/add starts tomorrow, will people who are waitlisted for a class automatically move into an open spot once one becomes available or should I still try to add the class?</p>
<p>I am trying to get into Spanish 255 or 260 and all are closed or waitlisted. I am in position #5 on the waitlist for Span 255, but don't know if that means I have a good chance of getting in or not. Any ideas?</p>
<p>Are professors open to taking the whole waitlist (ie 10 more students) or is the waitlist mainly for show?</p>

<p>If you are on the waitlist, you automatically move up every time someone drops the class, so you don’t need to try to add it. I would think you are in a good position if you are #5.</p>
<p>I know all the waitlists disappear at some point, which is highly annoying - if you aren’t able to get the class tomorrow, I would probably email the professor and let him/her know what # you are. Some professors start their own waitlists once the online waitlists disappear.</p>

<p>I’m waitlisted for a Spanish class too- #4. The guy at CTOPS said I “may or may not get in” because apparently those classes are pretty small (like 30 or something).</p>
<p>Does anyone know if we can view the enrollment info of a class we haven’t registered for (i.e. is there any way to check out the other sections of a class and see if the waitlist situation is any better?)</p>
<p>Yeah, you can search for the class and click on each section to see how many people are in each waitlist (click on the class itself, like LECT 001, not “select class”)</p>
