I recently heard that a Masters in Public Administration is worth less than a Masters in something like economics etc. Is this true?

Reason I ask is that one of the programs that I got accepted into and am now considering is a Masters in Public Administration in Public and Economic Policy (MPA-Public and Economic), a two year degree at the London School of Economics (LSE).

However, how does that compare to a MA in orther schools-English and/or US? Also, while we are on the subject, any input into a 2 year MPA program over an MPP program from GPPI or another Public Policy focused degree compared to the MPA would be greatly appreciated.

It just always gets so complicated! Really wish I had more time to compare all these options, but applying while finishing an undergrad is something close to a human rights violation....oh well.
