Last year there was a thread for the 2012 summer program discussing early acceptances to the Musical Theatre program. This year, the application deadline was a couple of weeks earlier (1/18 vs 2/1) and email application confirmation stated "ALL" decisions "by email ON 3/1"*.

According to the 2012 thread, though the web site stated decisions via mail by 3/30, acceptances were in fact received via email on aprox. 3/14 and rejections were mailed out aprox a week later and were received around 3/30. (Some on wait lists found out as late as May!)

So, just wondering if they are going to repeat last years actual protocol with early email acceptance. Has anyone who applied received an acceptance as of todays' date? Any info would be appreciated.

In another place, the web site states notifications on 3/30 but I think that is old info from last year.

(Also, wondering how many applied this year. Last year applicants were assigned numbers and I think the highest stated was 327.)

Trying to figure out if I should be applying elsewhere!

I am guesssing all positive decisions will be communicated by email on 3/1…given the history… the waitlists or, no thanks, will come out two weeks later. We haven’t received anything, and we submitted a month ago.

^^ “I was number 46” on “January 17”. This may mean the numbers are random unless you registered much earlier but submitted your video on the day before deadline? Who knows.

Decision desk digital Application number 442. I haven’t seen any numbers higher than mine? I think email “acceptances” sent tomorrow to email addresses on the application with any scholarship info to follow in the coming two weeks? Pretty excited to find out.

442! Ugh. dchock, can I ask if you got that in by the priority deadline of midnight, January 18th? If yours was timely and numbers sequential, that means they received something like 200 applications between 7pm and midnight! I know its a popular program, but that seems fairly incredible! I wonder if the numbers also include other audition types? (Like oboe, for example – haha, we can only hope.)

It took us like four hours to upload everything successfully, so it was nearly 2am when we finally got the whole thing uploaded. I don’t know how applications are numbered, but guessing the numbers pertain to all mPulse programs…dance, music, theatre, etc.?

I went to North Texas Drama Auditions this year and met representatives of the Texas State/University of Texas Musical Theatre Workshop. I registered for it this week, but will most likely have a conflict with their dates. It is a “non-audition” workshop, but is run by really great people and will have great guest artists there. It’s in Austin…great city.

I wish that were true, but it probably isn’t because the deadlines for the other programs are much later than the Musical Theatre (if I’m not mistaken all but 1 besides MT are still taking apps)

No email yet this morning. If they are “all” sent today as promised, I would expect about 5pm their time as I am sure they won’t want to deal with all the “why not” phone calls. So whatever time their office closes today, that’s when we will hear – just a guess. Maybe yeses will come earlier?
