I have a question.. Dear, Mr blue, could u answer me?? I've got accepted four schools which are uiuc, umich, git, ucla, and uva for EE.. I might go to UIUC..Is it a good choice?? You had undergraduate at UIUC right? If you are me, which school would you go?? Can you make an order one to four between those schools? I have heard UIUC EE is a killer for students... Is it that hard?? And also, which class are gonna be challenging?? What course was the hardest courses for u for ECE classes?? Thank you so much.. I hope you would answer my questions..

Go wherever it makes most financial sense. If you are in-state at any of these schools, go there. Period. Academically, they are all equal.

If you are out of state for all, Illinois would be last on the list. As a Chicagoan my whole life, I have been down to Champaign many times. The weather ain't great, to say the least, and the town ain't too happening. Yes, it's a Big Ten school, but Ann Arbor is a lot more fun(also has better sports to root for!). And the student body is 80+% from the Chicagoland area. Not very geographically diverse.

I say go where it's warmer. To pay out of state for the U of I, when those other choices are available, I say no.

Uh, isn't that 5 schools?

^^ No, GIT is not a school. ;)

UIUC ECE is a killer and it is without a doubt the best dept. at UIUC even though Civil and Matse are ranked higher. Solid-State Electronics and Communication Networks are nightmares. If you are serious about ECE go to UIUC. It is arguably the best in the country (faculty quality, publicaitons) and at worst #3.

No, "GIT" is not a school. "GT" is, however.

If you meant that Georgia Tech is not a school in any other respect then you are quite ignorant.

I'm pretty sure Gator meant nobody calls it "GIT" but "GT" instead

Yea man it was a joke, chill.

To Melani, the OP: how did you get admitted to UCLA when its decisions are not out yet?
