Mr.noob(fsc student) needs help

<p>A current fsc student , expecting REALLY good marks in part 1 (1st yr) , somewhat like 48o or maybe more ! .. so i ll be taking sat 1 in december and also subject tests .. extra curriculars are none .. i can work really really hard . I am a tough guy . So lets say if i score around 18oo in sat 1 and 21oo in sat 2 .. can i make it into a state clg for engineering ? Or should i take a year off after fsc , try to get a few certificates of internships , take act and raise my chances .. and then apply for ivy leagues ? Ivy leagues .. coz my dad cant afford much, so i need financial assistance !;);) plz rply and suggest fast !</p>

<p>As far as engineering at good publics such as Colo Mines, Ohio State, U of Minnesota, UC San Diego, Virginia Tech, A&M, Penn State, Wisconsin Madison, UT Austin, Purdue etc., I doubt an 1800 on the SAT will get you in. </p>

<p>I know from my son’s experience with the College of Engineering at A&M, it would very difficult for even an in-state student to get in with less than 1300 (M+V) and at least 670 on Math. At UT it is not uncommon to see instate students rejected with 2100s on the SAT.</p>
