Hilary is far too deep in the political sh_thole to ever be a good President. I mean, c'mon. She supports freaking Jack Thompson. Jack Thompson draws his happiness from depressed teenagers committing suicide.

Obama would be great, but people can easily charge him with inexperience, especially in foreign affairs.
I actually wouldn't mind McCain.
If only Colin Powell would run...

3- Steven Colbert for Pres. and Conan O'Brien for VP and Sec. of Defense Tom Green, Sec. of State Jack Black (with the same comb-over and pearls like CONDI!)

I think Obama has a while to go before he should consider running. Sure he would get a lot of youth votes, but he doesn't have enough respect, and honestly I have never heard him take a stance on anything. Although, to be fair, I haven't really followed his career, so if he does have some platform, let me know.

And as for who I think should be president, it's a tossup. Even though I would much rather a republican for personal beliefs, I am interested in seeing how a democrat would handle the Iraq situation. I guess I'll wait until actual candidates place a bid to form any opinions.

Bazn, you're pretty much correct. Obama hasn't given a hard stance on the issues as of yet. In fact, if weren't that he was a dem, most people wouldn't know what he supprted or didn't.

And again I say: Hillary is waaay to polarizing to garner much support. If she were elected {fat chance}, I wonder how long it would take before her husband was caught in a sex scandal.

I realize that Obama is young and inexperienced, but I really think he HAS to run this year. Here's why:

-It's a rare open election, with no sitting president/vice-president. 2012 will have a sitting President probably wanting to be reelected. 2016 will have a sitting Vice-Prez probably wanting to be reelected. This election is wide open and Obama must take advantage.
-His popularity is at an all-time high. A lot could happen in 8-12 years.
-If Hillary runs, the Dems lose. I don't have a whole lot more faith in Edwards either.
-The fact that he's inexperienced works in his favor. Look at the midterm results - exit polls show that people were disgusted with political corruption, and that it was a major factor in choosing who to vote for. Someone who's a dedicated politician but largely a Washington outsider gets the moral higher ground in this regard.
-He hasn't been in office long, so people can't do the John Kerry "But you voted for this way in 1982! Flip flop omg!" thing.

Quick question:
Why are do so many liberals desire Obama to run? It seems like it's another "cool" liberal trend. He gave ONE SPEECH (that he didn't even write himself) and now you guys think he's fit for president.
