Mr. or Ms. President 2008!

Nah, I don't like Rudy's policies. Go McCain. I like Newt Gingrich too but he's not going to become president.

atomic, largely because he's a racial minority who actually appears to have a legitimate shot. I think a minority president, while controversial, would be great for this country and America's global position.

Obama's been compared a lot to Kennedy - a youthful, vibrant, charismatic leader.

I used to like McCain (personality-wise, not politics-wise) until he started bootlicking Bush. And then going back on his previous criticisms of God abusing whackjobs like Pat Robertson. What a disgusting display. He's sold his principles for power.

I think Obama has potential, but I'd sure like to see him realize some of that potential before he runs for national office. Mrs. Clinton is a non-starter, the only people I know who want her to run are right-wingers and people who are unengaged in the political process. I'd like to see Wesley Clark make another run, it might be the only way to extract ourself from the mess the Bush administration has made in Iraq. John Edwards has a compelling message of compassion for the people at the bottom of the economic ladder, those who have been largely ignored and stepped on since Reagan took office in 1980, but I'm not sure he is any good on foreign policy.

Okay, so all jokes aside....I definetly would like to see Rohm Emmanuel for the presidential ticket for 2008. We have not really heard much from Emmanuel because he chooses to remain low key...for now. After all it was all of Emmanuel's strategic planning that helped the Democrats win control over the senate. This guy knows his stuff and unlike some other leaders (cough) he actually knows his politics and knows "how" to keep america out of trouble rather than "in" the light of danger. However a great concern that I have is if people will actually elect him considering the fact that he is a minority of Jewish decent....although I personally am a supporter for Emmanuel....many other people might feel uncomfortable of having him in office (although I hope that is certainly not the case). Obama on the other hand, has not been doing much lately, other than posing for cameras. However my prediction is that if he does decide to run for office, his appeal will be greatly sought amongst the young age group 18-24 (or more). Hillary, although I treasure her personality, she seems to be a bit more authoritarian than democratic....but hey...I'd give her a chance. And oh yeah....I would also like to see Wesley Clark on the democratic ticket again:) You know as Americans we have criticized the Canadians for acting like little girls but have we ever given them credit for being the harmonious, neutral county that they are...when was the last time they were in a war? (not a sarcasm remark). I certainly hope our next president can keep America out of other nation's internal affairs and problems. As powerless as they seem...this is the U.N.'s job, not the United States. Let us be egocentric for once and focus on improving "our" economic system. Much said.

Correction: I meant to say "country" not county. Any more suggestions???

kunfused, I think Emmanuel has been freely taking credit for Democratic gains in Congress, but he is also responsible for spending a lot of money putting DLC approved candidates in primaries against candidates who came up from the grassroots, and he had a losing record doing so. I think he is too much in favor of centrism for the sake of centrism, and like many moderate Democrats, seems to discount that the center has shifted way to the right and could use some correction leftward.

I would have absolutely no problem voting for a Jewish presidential candidate. Or a woman, or any minority, for that matter.

I would have balked at Guiliani as a contender for VP until recently; now I think he might be the "moderate" side-kick that the Republican Party needs to win in '08. As for the top job, it looks like McCain is going to be the GOP's guy, for better or worse.

I'm actually a moderate...

McCain does look like a frontrunner now, but things can change.

James Bond.

Count Dracula. :D

I think there should be a difinitive showdown between McCain (R) and Wesley Clark (D). Both have ample experience...maybe one more than the other but hopefully both agree Bush does not know what the hell he is doing and is just buying time in front of the media, considering he was supposed to reveal his Iraq policy before the holidays. Oh well.. guess America has to suffer with one of Bush's unproductive policys once again before he gets criticized and unfortunately makes the same mistake over and over and over...well you get my point. This is coming from the man who said "I'm a decider and I make decisions," WOW! What a way to include everyone else in the decision making process...last time I checked a majority of Americans now disapprove the war in Iraq so why does President Bush still relent from pulling out of Iraq? Maybe those cowboy jeans are cutting off the blood circulation to his brain. No offense to the westerners though!

Correction: "Rahm" Emmanuel not "Rohm" Emmanuel does have a Wiki entry. Due to the mispelling no entries were found.

I love Wesley Clark he's my first choice for president then Obama and then Hillary and then Edwards

LOL. Never ever question wikipedia.

The only Dem that stands a chance is John Edwards. I'm not a huge fan, but if the Democrats want to win, they have to put all their support behind Edwards (he's a Southerner, has small children, doesn't come from money, is charismatic, etc.).

While I don't love Edwards, I'm definitely picking the lesser evil..
