<p>Got an acceptance email today :slight_smile: Now I’m just waiting to hear back from the Simons program…</p>

I’m still waiting on Simons (maybe) SSP (doubt I’ll attend with Garcia accept) and Clark (top choice), but Clark releases April 15th, which is kind of late…</p>

<p>Also how much research experience do we need?</p>

<p>Congrats on your acceptance thisunkn0wn! I’m not sure of the date we need to respond, but I suspect it will say in the formal acceptance that will be mailed soon. </p>

<p>Also, I think that many kids come in with some kind of research background (I have done a research methodology course, the urban dna barcode project, and an internship at an endocrinology clinic), but a lot of people have little or no actual lab experience.</p>

<p>The most recent email said they would try to finish by 3/29. Now it’s 4/2. How long do you think we’ll have to wait?</p>

<p>Latest update via email - “We apologize for the recent delays in decisions for the Garcia Summer Research Program. Dr. Rafailovich was out of her office for several days last week and this week and I was not able to notify any applicants. We will have the FINAL decisions by this Friday. Please keep an eye out for an e-mail from our office by Friday afternoon.”</p>
