One of my friends has a score of 1360 (780- q; 580- v). Could someone tell me if that's good enough for an MS in Computer sciences in stanford, carnegie and princeton?

Why don’t you check the average scores on their web sites…

Stanford doesn’t release graduate admissions statistics: [Stanford Computer Science Department](http://cs.stanford.edu/degrees/mscs/faq/index.php?sid=97371&lang=en&action=artikel&cat=4&id=3&artlang=en).

It also depends on the rest of your friend’s application packet, i.e. letters of recommendation, GPA, personal statement, etc…

The short answer is yes those scores are sufficient. But GREs mean almost nothing in the application process once you are past 1300 or so. He needs superb grades and great LOR.

Thanks people! :)
