I have a BS in Mechanical Engineering with an unimpressive GPA (I wasted my first 2 years). I have 10+ years experience in Mechanical Engineering, I’m a licensed Professional Engineer but over the past 6 years I’ve developed a passion for programming. I’ve developed applications and scripts that have saved my employers so much cash - I love it and want this to be my next move in my career.
I want to pursue an online degree and a MS in CS seems to be the route I should take, but I wanted to know if anyone knows of other programs that might be more suitable for my background? Maybe a dual program option that compliments my background?
Because of my unimpressive 2.5 GPA it makes it difficult to get into reputable colleges. I’m scheduled to take my GRE soon and I’m averaging about Q:167, V:155, AW:4.0 on practice exams which is above average but not superb.
Are there any Masters in Science/MBA dual programs online? I can’t seem to find any…
Or is there maybe a different degree to pursue other than CS? I’m not a fan of Data Science.
Any help would be appreciated.
