MS in Software Engineering

Hello,

I recently completed a BA degree in Communication Studies. I want to return to school, though, and take up computer science. I can either complete a second bachelors by taking two years of CS classes and complete a Computer Science major, or I can apply as a graduate student to their Software Engineering program.

I could take some undergraduate courses, as a MS student, and get up to speed. Will I need the extra preparation from the bachelors, or can I jump into a masters program?

Thanks,
Hunter.

It depends on how the program is structures but with a non STEM major, you will probably have to take a significant amount of prerequisite courses which will not count toward the Masters.
