MS Information Systems - what are my options?

Hi,

I’m a fairly recent graduate with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering with just over 1.5 years’ industry experience in enterprise systems. I want to go back to graduate school and obtain a MS in Information Systems.

So far, I’ve narrowed my options down to the following:

  • Johns Hopkins Carey School of Business (MS Information Systems)
  • Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering Engineering for Professionals (MS Information Systems)
  • Boston University Metropolitan College (MS Computer Information Systems)
  • Indiana University Bloomington Kelley School of Business (MS Information Systems)
  • Northeastern University College of Engineering (MS Information Systems)

I’m looking for opinions on these schools, especially both the JHU programs and the BU program. I’m also looking for insight into what other programs might be available for me.

My only requirement is that I initially wish to pursue the program online remotely, and then transfer for an in-class experience after a year.

Advice is welcome! Thanks.

Hmm I can’t say anything specifically about each school.

I’d say to compare the tuition of each school with employment statistics. Additionally are you looking for the larger tech companies? If so they might only recruit at certain schools…
