I am currently an undergraduate at Cornell University and I was wondering what minimum GPA and GRE scores I would need to get into a good MS EE program like stanford, berkeley, georgia tech, purdue or even cornell

I'm in a graduate engineering program at Stanford.

My experience is to be an decent candidate, GPA of 3.6+ would be good with strength in relevant courses, Verbal at least 550, over 600 is a plus, and quant as close to 800 as possible. (780,790 is not a problem tho)

G.P.A of 3.8, GRE 650, 800, 5.5 would probably see you in no problem, in my opinion.

I'd shoot for higher as I had roughly those stats and didn't get in.

Weren't you applying to the PhD program at those schools, phpguru? Standards for the MS program will be significantly lower.

Are u serious. phpguru? I would need a GPA higher than 3.8 coming from cornell to have a really good shot in those programs...

Yes, I did apply for the PhD but Stanford also considers its applicants for the MSEE. I confirmed this with the admissions department.

-phpguru

In that case, I'm pretty surprised.

Depends on your area of interest too. I knew some1 with almost perfect credentials across the board who got into MIT but rejected from several others b/c of research area compatibility.

I would always recomment the MS&E department at stanford for the M.S degree - it has published standards (which are not quite as high) and you can take a lot of EE classes, or even apply after one quarter to take the M.S. EE degree at the same time and graduate with both degrees. (being internal I definitely think its easier to get in).
