MSIT @ CMU or Software Engineering @ Cornell?

Both programs are somewhat related to CS. CMU's MSIT (Master of Science in Information Technology) is very similar to CMU Heinz' MISM program, which they focus primarily on both Technology and management. Software Systems Engineering @ Cornell is basically a Systems Engineering degree with Computer Science track, focused on software engineering and project management.

I also got into Systems Engineering@UPenn and CS@USC, but I think I'll pass up those two options. When it comes to CS related majors, is CMU and Cornell the same in terms of job placement?

Well, CMU's one of the best known schools out there within the field of CS, but I don't think you could go wrong with either program.

I imagine it should come down more to school fit and research interests of faculty at each school. Also, if you're getting funded, it might even just be how much they're offering if you're going to be funded (Cornell offers 25% more than CMU does in my field at the PhD level).
