I am a sophomore too. Didn’t have any lab experience other than school labs. No science fair experience. GPA: 4.0, SAT 1520, science olympiad winner at state level. Essays were pretty good, i believe. The rejection letter said 882 applications for 30 positions. Too competitive.
May I ask one question? You are a sophomore but have taken SAT. Is this a norm? Thank you in advance.
I dont think it is a norm. I dont know i it makes any difference. Took it for other application reason.

My son got into second round today. 10% out of about 900 applicants. They will accept 30 at the end. He is sophomore
