mstp admissions question

I know that on the application for mstp, there's a box that one can check for consideration to md-only, but is there a similar thing for consideration for phd-only? I haven't heard of this. Would this be a possible arrangement?

No, if you want to be considered for the PhD-only programs you will have to submit the actual graduate applications. You can’t use the AMCAS for graduate school.

You’ll also generally want to have GRE scores (at least general, and preferably an applicable subject score) on hand if you want to be separately considered for grad school.

My advice would be to figure out just what you want to do before applying. MD, MD/PhD, and PhD programs are very different in what they offer and who they’re meant for.

I know Albert Einstein lets you specify whether you want to be reconsidered for MD or PhD, but that’s the only one I’m aware of.

You should really post on studentdoctors if you want accurate information on this.
I don’t think there are too many people here applying for MSTP.
BTW, none of my MSTP friends took the GRE.
