what's so funny?

Ah. Sorry I double-posted, didn't realize

S applied to the new Res College. All his on line says is a decision has not been made and that's a change from "your file is complete". I hope that's not a euphemism for it's not going to happen.

That is what my son's said too until they decided and accepted him. Don't worry.

My daughter had the same message, which then changed last Thursday 11/9 to:

"A decision was made on Thursday, November 09, 2006. An official letter was mailed to you. Admission decisions are not provided over the telephone. Decision letters are mailed to applicants and typically take 7-10 business days to receive."

She received her acceptance packet today.
She applied October 6 and the app was complete 11/17.

OOS and in.

Got the letter for Honors College and $8,000 a year. Can't believe a big state school has that kind of ka-ching to throw at out of staters. Thought MSU was just an easy safety to get a rolling admissions out of the way early, but damn, that's real money!

GPA: 3.7
ACT: 32
In-State

Accepted to the James Madison College. I have yet to check out the campus so I'm not sure if I'll be attending yet.

Accepted 12/19
GPA: 3.88
ACT: 31
In-State

Probably won't be attending, but happy to be accepted.

When did you apply?

Accepeted 12/19 also
GPA 3.93
rank 18 of 258
ACT 30 (when I applied)
In state
Accepted to Economics, lol random thing I wrote down. Probaly won't go unless I get a substantial amount of money or I get denied everywhere else.

Applied 11/1
Took a really long time.
Probably won't attend either.

I applied 10/30, but my transcript didn't get there until 11/6 and so they didn't start reviewing my app. until 11/21

ACT: 31
GPA: 3.85
NMSF
In state

applied: around Nov 1
accepted: first week of december

will not be attending. I have been accepted to U of M--my top choice. Yes, I have noticed the holier-than-thou attitude of the admissions staff, but the students, other faculty, and atmosphere are wonderful, which is what matters once one has been admitted.

Accepted 12/30
SAT: 2350
SAT II: 800, 790, 780
GPA: ~3.9 UW
Applied: 11/1

I didn't get accepted to the Honors College, or any semblance of merit money, unless they send those separately. I'm upset, but I'll get over it.

they do send the honors/merit $$ info separately... I'd say a week or so later. I got invited to honors and an offer of $2000/year (in state), so I'm sure you'll be set.

Arwen-

You have a second chance to be invited to the Honors College while you are at MSU. Just keep your GPA at a 3.5 or above during your freshman year at MSU.

Applied early septemeber. Accepted 9/29 into Eli Broad
GPA: 3.6
SAT: 1970
out-of-state
got a 6,000 scholarship along with presidential study abroad scholarship
didnt get into the honors college, but was invited to Academic Sholars Program...?

most likely not going but glad to be accepted
