MSU business vs. Umich

Hi everyone! I am a rising sophomore in undergrad and am very torn. I have a 3.9 at msu broad and am planning on doing supply chain. however i got the automatic sophomore transfer to umich and denied it. I am a bit unsure as to if i made the right choice. i am pretty torn because umich has always been my dream school, however i am not sure if i would’ve been content with lsa economics if i didn’t get into ross. I guess my question is, is msu broad better than lsa econ? i know ross is better than broad, however ross was never guaranteed for me and it is even more competitive now due to the influx of preadmits. Let me know your honest thoughts. I am still debating if I should transfer as a junior to umich just in case i end up not enjoying supply chain… ahhh i don’t know!!

PS i am talking about michigan state university vs university of michigan ann arbor.

No point in pondering about it now since you have already declined Umich. You are only going to feel worse if you don’t get the response you don’t want.

For what it’s worth, I think you will be fine. I don’t know too much about supply chain management, but unless you want to work in finance, your undergrad probably won’t matter too much in the grand scheme of things

yes this is true, however i am still debating if i should just go to umich for the last two years of my undergrad if it is really that worth it. were you a student at either?

@Dontskipthemoose

I’m not a student at either. I am assuming you are a Michigan resident so costs would be pretty similar? For what it’s worth, you don’t have to attend an undergrad business school to go into business. You can easily pursue business as an Econ major. Umich has an extensive alumni network and a lot more prestigious. Whether or not undergrad prestige is important is up to you and the field you want to go into. It won’t matter for industries like law or medicine, but it can be quite important in business and MBA placement. You should also consider the qualify of life and college experience.
