Hi,
I was admitted to 2018 MSU computer science with cumulative GPA of 3.2?3?. However, as taking 3 AP courses in my senior year, my GPA for the first semester of 12th grade dropped to 3.06, which MSU has seen. Yet, my second semester GPA dropped to 2.7… This includes 2 Cs and a D. I am wondering about the chances that MSU would rescind my application…
Call them and ask. The D is problematic.
Also please let people know which MSU you are talking about next time.
Michigan State University!
Would that D be so much problematic? because I got a C on that course in my first semester…
D’s are very problematic…If you think about it, you are taking AP1, AP 2 and AP 3. MSU admitted you, thinking that, great, @NAAMRTH is taking a rigorous curriculum…But oh…NAAMRTH is not doing college level work…are they prepared for college level work? Do they not want to take the effort? Are they having some other kind of issue? They want students who can succeed…right now you are showing them you may not be capable of succeeding.
So what is the issue? Not studying? Don’t care? Depression? Senioritis? Family Issues? Health Issues? Too much partying?
If there is anything you can do to get those grades up to C’s, do it. Talk to your teacher Start reading the chapters ahead of time. Get a tutor. Form a study group. Go to teacher’s help hours. Watch on line videos. Study differently…ask good students how they study. Ask the teacher how students who do well study. Do extra problems. See if there is extra credit.
The general view on CC is no Ds, Fs or felonies. As @bopper stated you aren’t showing you can do college level work.
