MSU Transfer 2019

@rachhp wait you just sent yours in? Does yours say under review yet? Only people who have heard back as of now are those that have to report their grades for this current semester. I hope and don’t think that will be the case for us because we both have like… ~2 years of cc and good amount of credits. Good luck! Let us know too if anything happens

It looks like someone got accepted a couple days ago… I’m not sure though, apparently her portal said she’s admissible but she’s going into veterinary so there’s extra for her?? Tomorrow will be 3 weeks since it switched! Last years transfer applicants were hearing back by now. This polar vortex is screwing us over

@rdtosparty did you notice if she was a transfer?

@spartyhopeful this is what her post began with

“Hey, all! I am looking to transfer to Michigan State starting the fall of 2019. I applied in November 2018, and just recently heard back about my application. I got an email saying there was an update to my account and that I should check it out. When I got onto my account, it said that I was admissible to the college. My major is veterinary technology, so they mentioned that there was a separate application process for that major, which I have already completed. It mentioned that they will notify me of my acceptance when the college of veterinary medicine receives my application.”

So she’s a transfer and got accepted like… partially? ??

has anyone heard anything back?

I haven’t… nearing 4 weeks since it has switched @kmalin

I was just thinking of asking you all last night too. I’ve heard nothing either. I’ve checked their admission Twitter account and no indication of anything going on.

Haha i do the same thing. I have their emails set to give me notifications but i still check everyday just in case ? i also sometimes see they like posts on insta of people getting accepted but it’s all freshman :slightly_frowning_face:

@rdtosparty and they may been in that early decision group of acceptances?

I don’t know exactly what qualifies for early decision so idk how to answer that… some of my friends still in hs got accepted in November and maybe October i don’t remember. But i do know they were applying in August/summertime

I wonder if when you initially submitted the app genuinely means you get accepted before others who submitted later. I know a lot of people applied November 15 so we’ll see how that goes ?

Yea I applied on Nov. 15 and still have not heard back. My status switched to being under review on Jan. 11.

Same here @Student80001 supposedly the earliest we should be hearing back in March… 8 weeks. But let’s hope they have a change in heart

Really? March 8? I always thought that we can hear back anytime up to 12 weeks, at least that’s what it says on the admissions site.

@Student80001 well i meant in March it will be 8 weeks since the switch. When i emailed and asked they replied 8-12 weeks. But i do also know it says up to 12 weeks. I hope it doesn’t take that long. Last year people were hearing back in February and March

Hey guys! I’ve been stalking this page for a while now and I finally am getting around to share this info. I’m a second semester community college student. I applied the day the application came out. A week a go I was accepted into MSU pending my admission into business school. So i just gotta wait and see if I get into Eli Broad which I know won’t happen because i don’t have all of the core courses done yet.

Just heard back. They said that I would succeed at MSU but they would like to see my spring semester grades before making a decision. I figured this would happen because I’m currently taking their math and writing requirements.

did you get an email? how did they tell you that

I didn’t get an email. I just checked the portal this morning and the application status completely changed to that.

That’s weird… so it just reads please submit spring grades and then we’ll make a decision?
