My D auditioned at U Mich on the last audition weekend and we were told announcements would be made “mid March;” Also heard Syracuse would be April 1st, and Carnegie Mellon, April 15th!!
@DrowsyChaperone I thought CMU was late March? At least that is what I have in my notes. April 15th is very late!
Is Syracuse going all at once this year or was it “by April 1st” in the Friday waves they have used in the past?
@KPike320, did U Mich start acceptances? Also, still waiting for Penn State to begin. I only see one for them???
I asked at the CMU auditions on Feb 25th and they told me “April 15th, but you could hear earlier.” That is way late!!! Ack! But my D was told by Barbara that they are only taking 5 girls, so not holding my breath on that one! 
I’m not sure about Syracuse - I didn’t hear from them directly; another parent told me that it was April 1st because they were waiting on financials (?). And I don’t believe Michigan has begun yet. Penn State started accepting about 2 weeks ago.
UMich has sent out (at least some) accepted emails- dated March 1st.
My D’s Penn State portal updated yesterday.
I feel as though that Syracuse information is incorrect? I thought I remembered them saying early-mid March, same waves of Friday decisions as years past.i could be wrong though
@KelviVan AND? Still haven’t heard over here, don’t know what to make of it. Also did your portal email you first saying there was an update, or did you just check compulsively until it updated?
@Monkeiiboy Just compulsively checking. It actually updated twice. Went from waiting on pre-screen (where it’s been for two months), to passed pre-screen and waiting on audition, to did not pass the talent portion required for admission.
@KelviVan Interesting. My D’s hasn’t changed at all. It’s driving me nuts. When/where did you audition?
Like I said it was just a parent who told me about Syracuse so I wouldn’t rely on that too much. @stagedoormama what have you heard about Michigan? I’ve heard of one person who has been accepted but that’s it. Do you know any details on acceptances? I haven’t seen anything posted so far anywhere
@Mardeen My D passed a live prescreen in November, then did her academic application when she passed that, and did her callback in Chicago.

I believe that Michigan only released Vocal Performance March 1…no MT offers should have gone out.
