@boatmom @HappyDancer98 @mtmamma2020 Hi ladies! My D doesn’t want me to post her acceptances at this time.(She’s waiting for a couple of friends to hear decisions before she shares the news.) The two she’s deciding between are small (less than 3000) private colleges with selective audition-based BFA programs, but aren’t among the BIG Name schools so likely few people here will recognize them.
I will tell you that she got a rejection from Otterbein today. She (and I) still feel encouraged that she even got past the pre-screens and was invited to on-campus audtions because we know several who were not. Otterbein was originally tied for first choice (with B-W) But when we visited the campus (for the audition)she discovered that it “just didn’t feel right” for her. That sense of unrest may have affected the quality of her audition too. Had she been offered a spot, she only would’ve taken it if she had no other options.(Not that she wouldn’t have been thrilled to be accepted – that’s always a good feeling!) But if you’re going to breathe, eat, sleep and live at a place for 4 years, you want to feel you belong there.
So lesson learned here: Might be a good idea to go visit campuses in your junior year BEFORE audition season to make sure you like the place. 
@daughtersdreams Congrats on your daughters acceptances! Was the notification from otterbein stating that she didn’t make it into the “pool” of applicants ?
I agree with what you are saying @daughtersdreams. Sometimes after doing that though, things still change. My D visited Elon and fell in love her junior year. BUT, at auditions, she felt really out of place and did not enjoy her audition experience at all. Just like your daughter, she would have been THRILLED to have gotten in, but she wouldn’t have gone there. Then, there are the schools that you discover only as a result of your crazy wonderful audition experience, and THEN fall in love… with the people and the program. These schools were not even on my daughter’s radar junior year. LOL now we are planning campus visits. I thought I kept to my budget but I thought wrong! Should have known better:)

@WTXMom Thank you! I auditioned for John Leonard at the North Texas Auditions in November and he told me I was accepted right after my audition, but the actual letter I received was by email and then a copy came in the mail a week or so later.

Yes, @sondheim – that was the wording from the email that came via “Acceptd” - which I find ironic, if not a bit cruel! LOL!) I guess that means she was in an early cut list and they are still paring it down.

Did anyone figure out not AD for CCM? Ours doesn’t say that but I am curious. Also does CCM notify by portal or email?
