Not sure where incorrect Rider numbers came from – and maybe this can serve as a cautionary tale that not everything on CC is necessarily correct, so always good to confirm with school reps – current freshman class is 30. One transfer added for spring, so now 31.
Than you for checking and it is a good reminder to double check the info.
Emerson numbers are a bit off as indicated above. Class of 2018 had 19 admitted, 10 boys, 9 girls. The cut program ended with the class of 2018.This year my son who is a student there was told by director of the program they had 1200 applicants and will only take 16. They do not always split between boys/girls… It depends who they like of applicants.
does anyone know how many people get accepted to Viterbo’s program?
I seem to remember that they enroll about 10.
@martin247998 I got accepted! I just wasn’t sure how many people they had in their program. Do you know how many people usually audition?

- This was the total number of offers actually made last year to yield their class of 12. ** 2014 Number of Applicants These numbers directly from Michelle at FSU (refer to FSU schools thread). She did not recall the number of applications received, but she knows they set audition appointments for aprox 240 every year, and somewhere between 220-240 actually complete the audition. *2015 Numbers as reported by member GSOMTMom as reported to her by Cary Libkin *****Numbers reported from Chris Anderson, Director of Admissions, NYU, email dated March 2015
Wright State’s numbers were skewed way upward from 2014 listed here for entering class of 2015. They offered their usual number of acceptances, expecting the usual number of students to decline, and almost every student took the offer. It will be interesting to see what happens this year. The usual admit for Acting/MT is around 24 - generally evenly split between the two emphases - but last year they admitted 32. Progressive class size kinda looks like a python that swallowed a sea tortoise.
And I understand BW is looking to yield 12 going forward. We’ll see if that holds!
@artskids Do you know why BW wants to keep it to 12? Just curious, since I’d heard they are typically closer to 18.
Rider is not 49-- at Unifieds they said they have about 25-30 in a class. Kent State (which I don’t think is currently on this list) told us they are trying to have 16 per class.
I was also told Rider is not 49 but the 25-30 number.
@deelight I’m not sure. I read it on here a few months ago and asked my S. He confirmed they were looking at smaller classes. More individual focus, perhaps? I’ll be curious to see how this year plays out.
Well someone mentioned they are adding a BFA acting degree so they may be thinking of overall size the school can handle.
@artskids Me too! Big fans of BW here, D attended overtures last summer. @sbc I heard about potential acting BFA, I can see how that might factor into the bigger picture. Thanks!
Bw has made 2 offers to girls already …not sure if they are committed
Are your sure? when my D auditioned they said all offers went out on March 10th. Were they Mt girls or another major? Transfers?
One MT girl was offered quite a long time ago- she has been on the accepted thread for awhile. I think I saw somewhere that there was another offered as well.
Uhmm, maybe freshman kids offered spots? BW seemed pretty upfront. I just do not think most of these schools are so secretive. I think they open up auditions and accept. Then when someone is accepted early etc it is the unusual, i.e. a transfer, a student in the program as another major etc. I mean really the people in theses programs are just regular normal ethical folks trying to do the best they can while living their own lives. Remember many of these auditioners are pretty young.
Vicki confirmed it at our audition during the parent info session. They are legit acceptances from the early fall audition.
