CCM - this year seems to be different than previous. Online status updated first, followed up by snail mail. Accepted students receive an email from Aubrey Berg shortly after online status is updated. (comment) My S’s online status is unchanged, despite having received an acceptance email from Aubrey Berg last week Rejections have been sent a week or 2 after audition. A few offers made this year with the majority still at no decision at this time. Later update: Looks like several students who had heard nothing previously, received “no admission at this time” updates via Check my Status on last Friday of February, 2/28, this year.

Coastal Carolina – Decisions: Rolling. Some offers/rejections sent after the November on campus auditions; most students deferred. For 2014: Deferred students from the fall and all those who auditioned in the spring (on campus and in Chicago) will be notified BY Friday, March 21st.
Ithaca – Rejections and offers: beginning mid Feb. A few offers and several rejections reported as of 2/28/14. Like last year, some acceptances are being received within a few weeks after audition via snail mail.

James Madison University: Acceptance to university on admissions portal; official letter from theater/MT program arrived 1-2 days later; my son also received an e-mail from program director telling him he would be getting an acceptance letter from the theater department. Students admitted to the university EA will hear whether or not they have also been admitted to the program in early March.
Penn State – Decisions: they have a team “decision Sunday” after the last audition, which this year is Sat, Feb 22. with acceptance notifications going out that week (via ?). Rejections for MT program from Chicago Unifieds have come via online portal. Rejections have also come via snail mail dated 4 days after NY Unifieds audition. The decision meeting has been the day after the last on campus audition in years past. Decisions are sent to the Admissions office the Monday after the decision meeting and Admissions sends out snail mail acceptances on Tuesday. The 12 to 14 accepted will usually receive them by the end of that week. Of course, this is not written in stone and I have no inside info - just going by what has happened the last 4 years. This year when my D was filling out her paperwork at the door they also got her to put her number on the sheet with a list of available times to call the number. The director said that would be used for acceptances but that emails could also be used. UPDATE: as of 2/19, myPenn application status portal changed to indicate application is being reviewed and a decision will be coming in the near future (speculations are for late Feb)

Some kids have gotten their BW letters (rejections/waitlists/acceptances) so I don’t think the above information is accurate with respect to that school. I know of one acceptance after a video audition and one rejection after an on campus audition (not sure of the date for that one though)

Also know of at least one Webster acceptance so maybe not everyone has to wait until late March.

This is really exciting and we share in everybody’s joy!

Congrats!

Just think, in 27 days, this part WILL BE OVER!!! Can’t say I’m sad to see it go! CONGRATS to everyone!!!

Body of this thread has gotten too long to copy and post (that’s what “they” are telling me - might be due to my sub-par computer skillz LOL) so I’ll post this one separately

Wagner - 3/2 was only audition date for new students, acceptance phone calls should go out next week

Just tried to update BW and got “Comment is 135 characters too long” error message. Maybe someone can delete some of their excess/outdated info?

Glad it isn’t just me and my poor computer skills!

What’d you do?

edited old/outdated info a little, added Wagner to the main thread - it had too many characters to add anything new or correct any information

I wish Indiana had more info. Apparently it is wrong since many kids have gotten yes’s (last day after the last audition). It seemed the yes calls went out so fast after the last audition(Sunday) that I don’t see how they could put any thought into those kids that JUST auditioned. Unless they just didn’t see anyone that day they wanted. I have not seen any wait list though.

Oh and the yes’s I know about, the kids didn’t audition the last day.

cellomom51, are you saying that nothing can be added to the post of 2:44 because it is too long? If so, I am willing to spend a few minutes taking out extraneous words and abbreviating some others.

yes, that’s what I’m saying (or the computer gods told me the first time I attempted to add Wagner to the list)

note from Florida State Thread - from administrator
“Kate and Gayle called the admitted students on Wednesday. All of decisions have been made and the letters will go out on Monday.”

@prodesse, that would be wonderful. I think there are quite a lot of little ways to reduce the number of characters in the post. Thank you!
