Baldwin Wallace: Offers sent via snail mail by 3/20. Rejections: Same time as wait list & acceptance offers. Financial Aid notifications 2 weeks later. At least one acceptance reported on 2/28 from a 2014 audition date.

Ball State Univ: Offers were extended by March 1st. Wait list students selected the week following. All students accepted &/or on wait list will be called directly & via snail mail letter. Rejections are sent out on a rolling basis. Scholarships are determined by mid March.

Boston Conservatory: Offers late March to early April. In the past, offers came via email with a link to click, which reveals the acceptance letter. It seems not all acceptances came in one batch, but over a few days. Rejections: ? Financial Aid notification: ?

Carnegie Mellon: They call the kids who are accepted in the 3rd week in March. Everyone else finds out via snail mail that they’ve been rejected or wait listed. There appears to be a priority wait list & a regular wait list.

CCM: Different this year from previous? Online status updated first, followed up by snail mail. Accepted students receive an email from Aubrey Berg shortly after online status is updated. Looks like several students who had heard nothing previously, received “no admission at this time” updates via Check my Status on 2/28.

Coastal Carolina: Decisions: Rolling. Some offers/rejections sent after the Nov. on-campus auditions; most students deferred. For 2014: Deferred students from the fall & all those who auditioned in the spring (on campus & in Chicago) will be notified BY Friday, March 21st. All notifications will be sent via email from Department Chair, Ken Martin. Accepted students may also receive a phone call. You must be academically accepted into the univ. before you are offered a spot in the program. Financial aid notification: Performing arts scholarships are sent with the offer. Academic scholarships are separate.

Elon: MT decisions by portal on March 14, RD univ. acceptances/waitlists/rejections on portal March 15

Emerson: Decision by Apr 1 via application portal at 1pm EST according to website.

Hartt: Was told that final decisions would be handed out on April 1st.

Indiana: Mid to late March

Ithaca: Rejections & offers beginning mid Feb. A few offers & several rejections reported as of 2/28/14. Acceptances posted on MyIthaca account in unpredictable pattern through March; rejections communicated by USPS & disabling the student’s MyIthaca account. Like last year, some acceptances are being received within a few weeks after audition via snail mail. A big wave of acceptances posted to the portal on 3/3, coinciding with big envelopes in the same day’s mail.

James Madison Univ: Acceptance to university on admissions portal; official letter from theater/MT program director 1-2 days later, email before letter also possible. Students admitted to the univ. EA will hear whether or not they have also been admitted to the program in early March. Students admitted to the univ. RD will hear whether or not they have also been admitted to the program shortly after they find out they are accepted academically to the univ., usually by April 1. All academically admitted students will receive a letter from the program. Some students admitted to the program may also receive an email notification or a phone call. Students not admitted academically to the univ. will not hear from the program whether or not they would have been admitted.

Marymount: snail mail, goes out in waves starting mid-Feb

Montclair: Rolling. Decisions about 3 weeks after audition. Apparently Montclair automatically considers MT applicants (some? all?) for their Acting program/major as well, & posts the Acting decision separately on the CheckMyStatus page from the MT decision, then follows up each online status with a snail mail confirmation.

NYU/Tisch: Decisions by Apr 1st after 5pm via email (per website). 2 weeks later for which program.

Otterbein: The arts admissions coordinator calls accepted students directly on their cell phones. Last year it was on March 13th. Official letter including scholarship info came a few days later. Not sure about notification for wait list, those might get phone calls too? Rejections, I believe, come by mail.

Penn State: Decisions: They have a team “decision Sunday” after the last audition (Sat, Feb 22. this year). Acceptances go out that week via portal and snail mail. The 12 - 14 accepted will usually receive them by the end of that week. Rejections for MT program from Chicago Unifieds have come via online portal. Rejections have also come via snail mail dated 4 days after NY Unifieds audition. “This year when my D was filling out paperwork at the door they had her put her number on the sheet with a list of available times to call.” Director acceptances might use that phone #, or email.

Point Park: Academic decisions are rolling. MT decisions 2 or 3 times per year via snail mail. This year it was end of Jan. Remaining decisions to be sent in 2 batches: one after their meeting March 5 and the 2nd after their meeting March 15. Scholarships are sent with decisions

Rider: Seems to be rolling admissions. Quite a few students accepted/rejected already, to both acting and MT. Notification made via snail mail a few weeks after the audition date. Portals updated in waves 2 days after last audition date, 2/28, pattern seems to be a wave of acceptances, wave of wait lists and wave of rejections

Roosevelt CCPA: Decisions sent by mid-March via email. (decisions came late March last year). In a recent email correspondence with Amanda Horvath (admissions), she stated “___ will hear from us via email after March 15.”

Syracuse: Decisions begin early March via email. In past years, acceptances and rejections seem to have gone out in waves on Fridays through March & early April, with no apparent pattern (not alphabetically).

Univ of Michigan: Portal Updated with Decision (early March - 3/5/2014); e-mail to follow

U Arts: rolling. Decisions about 3 weeks after audition.

Wagner: sole audition date 3/2, phone call acceptances following week, waitlist? rejections?

Webster: last week of March for acceptances and rejections but some have found out earlier.

Wright State: Rolling admissions - decisions by snail mail approx 2 weeks after audition “A person in their MT office said she was finishing the last of the letters & they should be in the mail tomorrow.”

Just saw on The Unified FB page two kids just got calls from Amy at Pace…like 20 minutes ago…one boy one girl I think

The kids are in school. Do they expect them to answer??

Hmmmm…D just got a call on her cell from a NY landline about 30 minutes ago,but she couldn’t answer because she’s in class. When Pace students call to check in (like they do about once a week) they always call our home phone. I’ll let you know if anything comes of it!

Got acceptance from Ithaca. MyIthaca changed we think today as my son is out of town and didnt check it yesterday. He auditioned 2/22/14.

They are answering…leaving class to pick up. LOL

@AsstToThe MT They called my son’s cell in his audition cycle…

For Ithaca the Portal changed today but nothing in the mail yet. He auditions on 2/22

Not all Ithaca portals changed! We still sit at “applied”. At least we aren’t disabled!

We are also…

The plot thickens! We have confirmation that D’s incoming cell phone call this morning came from Amy Rogers, but the two haven’t connected so far. Might have to wait until Monday. :expressionless:

D auditioned at Pace on Saturday for the BFA in Film, Television and VoiceOver and got a call today accepting her into the program!

CONGRATULATIONS!

So happy for the positive Pace news!!!

They starting making calls for Wagner - just saw it on twitter that someone got called an hour ago

We are so excited about his acceptance to Ithaca. It has been such an up and down week
