I have seen lots of info about folks looking for an acting program at schools with strong vocal music or MT programs, so that they could potentially have the opportunity for quality voice training, etc..........

I am wondering about the reverse: Besides CMU what schools are known for their strong program in acting, but also offer musical theater as a BFA program?

UArts also has a strong acting focus in its MT BFA program. MT and Acting majors take their core acting studio classes together throughout the program.

NYU/Tisch's Department of Drama has a number of acting studios (Atlantic, Stella Adler, Lee Strasberg, Meisner, etc.) as well as the one musical theater studio, CAP21.

Penn State has a very strong audition BA in theater and a MFA in acting and directing. the undergrads have access to these professors. Most of the acting classes are BA and BFA students together. The ones that are not are degree specific courses (voice or movement for the acting major vs voice lessons or dance for the MT, ...)

Does anyone know anything about the acting program at Michigan? I understand the MT's and Acting students don't mix all the much for classwork, but does anyone have any insight into the training, or whethr the grads are finding successes?
