MT Programs with lighter dance requirements

@lithpool I understand if your son prefers to audition for CMU on campus. But if it doesn’t work with your schedule, please assure him they do extend offers from Unifieds. We know at least 5 students over the last several years who auditioned for them at Unifieds and received an offer. You have an equally good chance of getting an offer no matter where you decide to audition I think this is true of any of the schools that attend Unifieds. It is too much of an investment of time and money on the school’s part to participate in Unifieds to not be serious about finding prospective students while there. Our D actually preferred the Unified auditions to the on campus auditions because she could focus fully on her auditions and not worry bout campus tours and other things draining her energy and focus. But that’s just her. I know there are some students who do not like how busy the environment is at Unifieds. So definitely choose what works best for your student. But be assured it does not matter to the school where you choose to audition.

@CaMom13 I thought at Tisch there was just a “movement” call for New Studio

@Notmath1 - I wasn’t in the call… but my D said they danced. The students were given time to change from audition clothes to dance clothes. She did also say it was pretty easy so perhaps that makes it a movement call…?
