So kiddo is starting to make her list for the great Spring Break Road Trip '10. She's a junior, so is starting some serious looking. Did a search here, but couldn't really find a definitive list of schools to consider that offer strong MT program (she's looking at several BFA or conservatory programs) that have high level dance classes offered, or who look for applicants with a strong dance training (among voice and acting). So far, the list includes...

CCM
Point Park
Otterbein

Other schools with good, strong dance classes available to MT majors?

I must have had a brain freeze (or the inability to come up with a good search string). Thanks for your help and the bump! This gives dd some more schools to peruse!

I hope you will add Elon to your list! I’ve posted about their dance many times before. You cannot imagine how much improved my son is in dance after going to Elon!

University of the Arts. Jazz, tap, ballet and partnering are all required classes with opportunities to take additional classes as scheduling permits.

Check out CCPA/Roosevelt in Chicago. They take dance at a local (incredible) studio. Each student takes classes at their own level and you have the option of purchasing a dance card and taking as many classes as you want/can fit. It is a great system for really high level dancers that want to make sure that they will be challenged.
