So, my friend has a math class that he’s waitlisted to, but he really needs it because he’s already behind on math. We’ve heard that you can go to that class early the first day and see if the professor will let you take his class or not. Is it a risk to do so? Is it even true? What should he do?
First I would talk to his adviser about anything that can be done.
Then he should email the professor and let him/her know that he really needs the class.
If he is waitlisted, he should go to the class in case someone does drop out later so he hasn’t missed anything.
