I really wish the individual school forums were active. It would be so helpful to speak to parents/students. And just see what thoughts come up.
There used to be a little yellow dot that appeared beside a school’s name on the list whenever something new was posted in a particular school’s forum. Unfortunately when they revamped CC over a year ago, that functionality was not carried over and ever since then, the individual school forums have been largely ignored. I agree it is a shame. I know the moderators have mentioned it to the powers that be but there doesn’t seem to be any momentum to restore that functionality.
MODERATOR NOTE:
Hi, I have brought this issue up on many occasions with the forum administrators, as recently as a couple of weeks ago. All agree that this is something that is needed and has been a real loss in the MT Forum since the format of CC was changed a while back. The latest is that a forum administrator is going to bring it up to the vendor to see what can be done. Stay tuned. The loss of the indicators that new posts appear in certain MT school forums has sorely affected the use of the school specific forums.
Thank you Collegemom !!
Wow since I am new here I did not know any of that but it makes sense. Hopefully a change will come and make a difference.
Thank you, collegemom! The loss of that feature did effectively kill those forums.
I still check the school my daughter goes to fairly regularly to make sure someone hasn’t asked a question, and hope that anyone would feel free to PM me; hopefully others do/feel the same!
I do the same for my S’s school. Questions are welcomed.
I also check the forum for my d’s school, and I know there are one or two other moms who are active on here as well. In addition, I also hope anyone would feel free to PM me with questions if you don’t want to post them.
I am happy to hear that bc it is helpful for us newbies
Add me to the list of folks who check the school specific thread for my D’s school. (BW)
^ Me too!
I’d like to see my son’s school added to the MT college list: Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. There are always a few Americans in the MT program each year.
Perhaps if each of you put the name of your childs school then we will know who to PM. I know those ofyou with freshman areon the decision thread but those of you with older kids, I wouldnt know which school to ask about.

I look at CCPA’s thread from time to time (and am always happy to be PM’d with questions about the program).

I’m happy to try to field questions or pms about Northwestern, and maybe @connections is as well (her straight acting D is still enrolled so her info is more current), plus she also has experience with a couple other schools via her other talented kids. It helps if you flag folks in the school forum threads to call attention to them.
How about making a list.
