I know most BFA’s are a NO DOUBLE major situation for 99% of schools - but might any of you have suggestions of stronger BFA training programs that have arts where a student could also have Arts Management as a part of the curriculum - maybe a minor or great internships etc
Northwestern. D graduated from Bienen School of Music ('20) with BM in Vocal Performance and and Arts Management/Communications. Most of the VP students are double majors/dual degree, though in some cases, it takes 5 years. MT is by audition after enrollment (during the first semester of freshman year) and students can audition from either the theater program or music school.
My D is an MT major at Baldwin Wallace & they have an Arts Management Minor that she was encouraged to do.
Thank you @songbirdmama
@NYYFanNowMTdad thank you - BW is the best MT program in the country for sure!
Congrats to you and your daughter and thanks for replying to this thread.
A BFA in Drama and MA in Performing Arts Administration dual-degree option is available for students enrolled in the NYU Tisch Drama BFA program as well as (I believe) NYU Steinhardt.
A minor in Business of Entertainment, Media and Technology is possible for a Tisch or a Steinhardt student in conjunction with the Stern School of Business at NYU.
