<p>What exactly is Mu Alpha Theta and what does the organization do? I'm thinking about starting the chapter at our school but how do I start and where do I go after it becomes created?</p>
<p>isn't it math honor society? (im pretty sure it is..). it's just like other honor socities....you tutor in math mostly and do some other stuff i guess. (sorry, i'm not in it cause i'm a sophomore and only juniors and seniors can join) but yeh that's about all. it probably has an official website you can check to help you get started. good luck!</p>
<p>I'm in Mu Alpha Theta and I'm the president elect for next year.......It is a Math Honor Society and we do tutoring and participate in and host local math competitions...we also do some social activities such as bowling or going out to eat. Sometimes we do service project with NHS.</p>
<p>I'm the Secretary for my school's Mu Alpha Theta team. We really don't do anything specific with it, though I think the AMC 12 test is affiliated with it. It's just part of the stuff we do for Math Team.</p>
