<p>Does anyone have any thoughts on the difference between Muhlenberg's BA Theater program and Drew's program? D already accepted at Drew and waiting on Muhlenberg. Wondering if they are comparable? Her main interest is musical theater. Thanks!</p>
<p>Muhlenberg offers a strong BA musical theater program and dance classes. Lots of productions. Drew is straight theatre. Not sure how many acting classes. I also think the retention rate is on the low side at Drew.</p>
<p>Don’t know anything about Drew, but the theater program at MC is very very strong and allows students the opportunity to also (as someone said above) take dance, singing and so on. Plus (and again, not saying this is not the case at Drew … I just don’t know), the campus culture at Muhlenberg is extremely friendly, nice, cordial and all of that. It’s the only school that I visited with my kid where every single person held the door open for me coming in and out of buildings. A small thing, but definitely a nice courtesy that told us something about the atmosphere there.</p>
<p>If it all possible, make an appointment to go visit both and have a meeting with a member of the faculty. Those second visits made a big difference in helping my D make a final decision.</p>
