What's the main difference between these two colleges? As far as I'm concerned they seem pretty much the same.

IMO Muir is more social and laid back.

muir is really social and we have like the fewest GE’s. also, i think warren has a lot of the engineering students? so, because of their studies, i’ve heard they could be less social. muir kids just kind of do what they want because the GE’s are so flexible that you kind of decide how you want your curriculum to be and things like that.

Well I’m an incoming freshman so I haven’t really experienced the university yet. But when I was signing up, I was deciding between Warren and Muir and their GEs seemed like they were pretty much the same. I was just wondering if there were any differences outside of that. And maybe that will help kids applying this year who are wondering too.

Plus also I just remember I’m giving a tour to my HS CSF club when they come and visit. And if they ask for differences, I would like to be able to give a good answer.

Visit the two college website. Beyond differences in GEs (and they can be significant – though the effect is different depending on your major and your AP credits/exemptions etc) they talk about Reslife and Activities. The real difference will be in the GEs you are required to take…

I think I found the difference in GEs. Muir makes you take a sequence of classes and Warren doesn’t. I guess that’s what I was looking for.

archives, my friend.

what is the best for a transfer student? Is it only me, or does it seem like ucsd has more classes that transfer students need to catch up on than ucla transfers? pretty weird.
