<p>I'm planning on applying to a few private schools that require letters of reccomendation. I don't want my reference to write five letters of recommendation for me so how do I go about this.</p>
<p>You mean you don't want to put your recommenders through the effort of having to write five letters? Because they can just make copies off of the first one they write..</p>

<p>I know a few people who actually got their recommenders to fill out ten different forms because they thought the common app recommender forms would hurt their application.
If something that little makes a school reject me...I wouldn't want to go there anyway.</p>
<p>D asked her recommending teachers to write specific letters for 2 schools and a generic one for the rest. They were very happy to do this, one said he would write specific for each school but D thought it was not necessary.</p>
