Multicultural Celebration Weekend

just out of curiosity GoldOwl, how much FA isn’t good enough?

Goldowl, when did you get your financial aid package??

And I agree, we should totally start a fb group for it!

I got a little less than 10,000 but considering how expensive wustl is…probably not enough.
Also, I didn’t actually get the FA in the mail yet. I just logged onto the pathway & clicked on the financial aid link…it should take you there.

Maybe because I accepted early decision I don’t get an invite. My FA package was $40,000

Omg GoldOwl, thank you so much… That saved me so much headache and waiting for it to come in the mail! :)

Perhaps if you appeal it you might be able to get more FA. I heard that works in some cases!

Thats one of the advantages of going early decision. Most of the FA goes to those people.

Maybye I’m an exception… pretty much got a full ride
SUPPPPPPPPPPPERRRRRRRR EXCITEEEDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!

You must be a low income candidate then

Has anyone received their confirmation packet yet by any chance?

lovewashu, Nope, we’re middle income~ About 200K

I am so excited!!! Can’t wait to meet you all!

I am just curious, so not everyone is invited to Multicultural Weekend? But is it really by race? I mean, for example, were all of the Asians who were accepted, invited? By “Multicultural,” doesn;t that mean everyone, regardless of race should be invited?

$200k isn’t middle income…its high income…and what do you call nearly a full ride?

@ lebonbonbon: From what I understand, it’s not just about race, but also about background and experience, maybe like living abroad, but I’m not completely sure.

Hmm works for me! Thanks ceg1207.

Is there a facebook group up for this already? Does anyone mind sending over the link?

@lovewashu… its aprroximately 48,000, consisting of the university scholarship plus the pell grant (which i believe is solely based on finances and was pretty low, which makes sense). And plus the fact that I have an older sibling in college right now.

@lebonbonbon, Idt there is a facebook group for our year… someone should make one!

I am about to register though
How many of those attending this event choose to stay with a current student?

I made a facebook event! (I would have had to individually add people if I were to make a group)

Here’s the link: Redirecting...;
-let me know if it works :)

and skimmy92, I chose to stay with a current student. :)

Yea I’m staying with a current student, and you should do it too. I’ve actually done several
overnight stays at college dorms and they’ve all been fun!

So am I… staying with a current student. Do you guys think that they’ll sort of match you based on your interests, or its just random… I’m okay with whatever

And I joined the event!!!

What is the event? Is that something that I optionally choose or apply? Or is it automatically included in this Weekend program?
