Wondering if Scripps has a program that allows underrepresented racial groups (in LACs, I suppose) to visit the campus for free.

This week I received some invitations from Pitzer to apply for their program. (Here's the online link: Pitzer College Admission - Diversity Program FAQs) I'm thinking of applying to that, but I'd rather visit Scripps. Anyone know if something like this exists there?

Yes, my daughter went last year and fell in love! I seem to remember it being very early in the school year, though. Hope it's not too late! Here's my link from last year about a "preview day". Someone else mentions something there in November.

There is already one this weekend (which I didn't hear about until my roommates told me they were hosting someone each). I'm sorry you missed it!

But during SADIOS (Spend a Day in Our Shoes) in April, there is a women of color portion for underrepresented students. You can apply for travel grants and such.

Luckily I don't live on the other side of the country and might visit in November. But I'm a bit disappointed that I'm on their mailing list and never got anything in the mail about it...

Could someone provide a link to Scripps' diversity weekend program? I really want to visit Scripps pre-application, but unless the college pays for transportation, it's not happening. (I am a junior, so I haven't missed any dates, I would hope.)

There is no link I believe. People get invited. However, if you are interested, contact Scripps admission office. Ashley Peters ran it this year. It does not automatically pay for your travel, you have to apply for that.
