Multicultural Scholars Preview?

Hey Guys,

Are Penn Previews worth it? I really want to go but those are two very bad weekends for me.

Also, I got invited to the Multicultural Scholars preview? Does anyone know anything about this? I was wondering because it sounded like a recruitment for URMs but I'm Chinese...

Is there a scholarship associated with this multicultural scholar invite?

well i believe that the multicultural scholars preview contains one day that is a penn preview. it's monday the 14th

No, it's not just for URM's. It's for anyone who contributes to Penn's multiculturalism. I know two roommates who met at that weekend last year (and then requested to live together). In general, I would recommend pursuing every opportunity to meet your future classmates. If you really can't make it to Penn Previews but you're definitely going to Penn anyway then it isn't a huge deal. But if it's possible I would certainly recommend it.

rr43 - Penn doesn't offer merit-based scholarships, so no.

I really want to go visit but finances will be an issue for me >_<

Does Penn provide funding for transportation at all??
I just called them and they said there's no funding for now and that they'll forward my request to the regional director.. (I guess I just answered my own question) - but is anyone in the same situation as me?

A guy I know that goes to Penn now said last year they funded his flight...

I just received a call today from who I believe to be my regional director and he said Penn is funding my entire trip for the Scholars Preview... it might be based on the financial situation of your family.

^omg wow that's awesome! did you sign up for it before he called?

I think I'm going to call my regional director tomorrow...

I am curious to know if not getting an invitation to PMS means you’ll likely be denied from Penn. Get back at me because I am really worried >_>
