i'm a high school senior this year and i was wondering if those college Multicultural Visit Programs actually raise my acceptance rate. Or, does it only let me get to know the school atmosphere more.

I got letters from Bates and Oberlin, but I don't think I will go unless I know that my acceptance rate will be higher.

The only one that I know about for certain is Amherst. They state in their invitation to Diversity weekend that of the students that attend, 75% end up applying to Amherst, and of those, 75% are accepted. This is much higher than the overall acceptance rate of about 20% for Amherst, but I don't know what the acceptance rate is for the diversity cohort who do not attend the weekend.

I got an invitation to apply for a "scholarship" to visit Whitman College (airfare/travel paid for), although I am unsure of whether or not this will raise your chances for acceptance.
