Multicultural Weekend 2009

yes! john you are so lucky you have a direct flight. and at a reasonable hour. i am the only one on my flight from my school although there are 4-6 of us going

is there any way to cancel once you have registered?

Yeah. But you’d have to reimburse them for the aeroplane fee.

i actually live in st. louis so that wouldn’t be a problem; should I just email the admissions office, or what?

Has anyone received information about their hosts?

Yes, I think you should email them. Probably not the admissions; in the invitation telling you like “Thank you for signing up to come to the multicultural weekend” thing, they have a specific email for you to contact. I tried that and he was really nice about it.

the handout/packet-thingiemobaber said that the hosts will contact you a few days before you leave… so I’m thinking maybe on sat-sun-mon or something.

You haven’t been assigned a host yet, which is why you haven’t heard anything.

(I got an email regarding my latest pre-frosh 9 day before she was supposed to arrive, if you want a general time frame for when we find out who we’re hosting).

I am also departing from San Jose International Airport at 6AM, via Denver!

Speaking of my last post, I just got an email telling me who I’m hosting, fyi.

What’s in the packet that they’re supposed to mail you? I haven’t gotten mine, but if it’s just the usual map and packing list and schedule, then idk if I care enough to call about it.

Oh, who am I kidding? Of course I’m going to call…:)

here’s what is in the packet:
packing list
contact numbers
map
directions if you’re driving or arriving on fri or sat
it also tells you where they’ll meet you at the airport (like where they’ll pick you up)
“rules and expectations”

Really, no schedule?

um. I think the schedule is in the Welcome Packet that you get when you arrive there…

I still haven’t received anything about a student host.
Should I e-mail them? The welcome packet tells me to wait for a student to contact me

Yayyy i got my packet.

xiadane, my host last time emailed me like 2 days before. It’s still a whole week until we’re there. Wait until like Wednesday morning before you contact the school…

Oh my host just contacted me today. :D

i got an email yesterday :] my host can’t come meet me until the evening though…could i possibly tag along with one of you CCers until then?

I’m going  it’s in couple days rightt?

i hear the weather is pretty cold. Im guessing i’ll be bringing some warm clothes O_O ahhahah

and my host is one of my friends who used to be an upperclassman in my high school  very happy!

for the tickts, do we just print out our e-tickets on the e-mail and bring it to the airport or what…?

About how long is the drive from the airport to the school? I finally got my host’s email and have to email the person what time to meet me.

And anyone know how cold washu is? I’m from california so i’m afraid i’ll freeze in anything less than sunny.
