Hello everyone, I have been admitted to two schools (Cal Poly & Stanislaus) and the deadline is near which is May 1st. I am currently in a dilemma on deciding which school to go too. I really want to go to CPP but, what troubles me is that they haven’t requested my transcript and I’m a transfer student. I already had made my deposit and currently holding out on the orientation fee since its due in June.I know CPP can still rescind your admission once they receive your transcript, which stresses me out because the deadline is near I recently found out that i was accepted to Stanislaus and I’m currently debating if I should make a their deposit as well to hold a spot for me. Can i make a deposit to Stanislaus? or will that be some sort of Violation?
For those who were offered acceptance to multiple schools have you decided on where you want to go? or still deciding?
What are your reasons for going to Stainslaus? I guess it depends on what you’re majoring in, but I don’t know anyone that knows anyone who goes to that school…
Send your transcripts when they request them. You’re not going to get rescinded for something they didn’t do “in time”. About two years ago, I was freaking out over the same thing and had my transcripts sent with one day priority shipping from my community college. Guess what? I had to send them again once they finally requested them.
If you were able to pay your admission deposit, you should be good to go. I think I sent my transcripts in some time in May.
I’m a bit biased (graduated from Cal Poly '14), but it is a great school for STEM, pre-vet, and architecture. I can’t tell you much about the other areas. The name is definitely reputable in Southern California. Some people even here in Kentucky know about it.
@ka0scontrol unless you lied on your application they wont change your status, the transcript is just to match what you had reported on your application. i got accepted to multiple schools and havnt made a decision yet.
@ka0sControl Wait till they request your transcript in your to do list. I contacted CPP admissions and asked them about sending transcripts early. They said if you send transcripts before they request them, you might have to send them again after they request them.
CPP only requested transcripts for impacted majors before they made their decisions if I remember correctly. Other than that I don’t think they have sent out requests for final transcripts yet, considering most CC’s are still in session. The due date for final transcripts will be mid-July I believe. As long as there is nothing on your to do list, you’re in the clear!
So far I have been offered admission to CPP, UCSB, and UCSD. Still waiting on UCI and UCB, but doesn’t matter because I have already chosen Cal Poly!
I went on a tour a few weeks ago and the campus was beautiful.
