Syracuse U.
U. Delaware
U. Maryland - College Park
U. Massachusetts - Amherst
U. Wisconsin - Madison

Projected Major: Economics or possibly engineering or another science.

Things that are important:
-Academic strength
-Comfortable atmosphere
-law,med, and grad school placement

(I plan on going to one of those.)

As for the type of people I want to spend my 4 years with, I can make friends with anyone so it is a non-issue.

Any thoughts on which you think would be the best and why?

wow...the schools you chose are pretty diverse. What kind of school do you want? A large, 20,000+ undergrad population like Wisc. or a nice liberal arts school like Amherst (is amhers a LAS..i'm not reallyl sure). I'm all for wisconsin b/c that is where I am probably headed (most likely for biomed engin). Really though, it's in the big ten and it has an overall awesome academic program. Plus everyone I've spoken to absolutely loves it. But I don't want to sway you...
Visit all the campuses and go with your gut feeling....did any school strike you as "whoa...i NEED to come here"
i hope this helps..

I would think Wisconsin is the best of that group by a fair margin.
