Are you allowed to use more than one calculator (like a graphing and a scientific calculator) on the SAT II Math IIC?

I don't think so. Why would you need more than one? You can bring an extra in case your first one malfunctions, but I'm pretty sure you can only use one.

I think you can only use one, but if you were really sneaky you could crash or take the batteries out of the graphing calculator and then ask to use a replacement and use the scientific, but that's pretty sketchy.

ohh i brought two calculators to my SAT and i had both on the table, and then they told me too put one on the floor.

ra200a i think your proctor isn't familiar with cb's policies and simply asked u to put the other away b/c no one else had two calculators. in fact, i don't see why one can't bring two calculators, as there is no mention of that on the cb website. moreover, for math iic having 2 calcs, particulary a ti-89 variant and ti-83 variant is a plus. for instance, for most of the test the ti89 works wonders; however, the cb has asked matrices questions before, which are easier on the ti83 than the ti89. in addition, sometimes the solve function on the ti89 causes the calc to lag so it is also good to have a backup for the next problem.

There are no rules prohibiting this.

For the AP, you can have upto two calculators, read it on their site somewhere.

o yea one more thing. the ti89 and ti83 combo also is great for ap stat, as one can take advantage of the ti89's scroll up/down feature for arithmetic operations and then the ti83 for everything else obviously.

I had two at one session (when I took IC and IIC). I was allowed both on the table at the same time, and used a graphing calc for IIC and a scientific one for Ic (easier to use for simple calculations).
