How many California Community Colleges have you guys enrolled in? Has anyone enrolled in 5 or more? Maybe one or two just for a couple classes? I know you're allowed to enroll in any of them, although I'm wondering if the adcomms will be weirded out by too many of them.

I don't know about "weirded out," but I bet they'd expect some kind of explanation.

(For the record, I've enrolled in 5 colleges, in high school and after, including 2 community colleges -- but this does include summer programs at places like UCR and Stanford.)

Well isn't wanting to learn from a variety of professors and wanting to take a variety of classes reason enough? I'm enrolling in two comm colleges outside my "residency" one for this summer.

I've been enrolled at 3 CCCs so far. I'm sure they'll undestand. Though, I'm still confused about "residency" too, I'm starting to think it only applies if you've ever completed courses at a 4-year & maybe TAA since when I asked the UCSB transfer admissions counselor about it, all she said was "So long as you stay at a CC, you will qualify for the TAA."

I'm also worried since although my GPA is about a 3.3, i have a 2.7 at one, 3.0 at another, then a 3.7 at the main one i attend. now that'll get them weirded out. yikes.

BruinMichelle or anyone else, come tell us it'll all be okay. haha.

I love UCSB. Grew up around there, but at times it can get tricky with their policies, however, they do have a high admit rate and I think that if you sign the TAA and if you do what is required, yes....everything will be OK! lol

again with the quick reply, you're great. CC is great! i can't wait to partake in the UC Transfer Applicants thread next year, i've read how lucky it is.

The individiual GPAs wont matter because you self report your overall GPA (they tell you to include all your classes but you can choose to just include transferable if you want -- whichevers better). You don't send in transcripts until later.
