How hard would it be to be involved in multiple extracurricular activities at Williams, like say the student symphony, an a cappella group, some community service group, and an intramural sport? Would I have time to do all of these things, or do some of them require too much time? Thanks!

SP, Williams kids are commonly multifaceted. They do sports, theyre involved in the arts (music, drama, dance, museums), they climb mountains, they lead tours, they organize for causes. In fact it would be unusual to find a Williams student who WASNT involved in 2 or 3 activities in addition to his/her academic interests (which can also be a combination of disparate fields.) This is multi-task headquarters. :)

SP, Momrath's right, you're describing the typical Williams students that I know. A little tougher if you're also a varsity athlete, but even most of them multi-task at W. It seems to me that the tough academics are a common denominator that cause students to look for group outlets for fun and outside-of-class fulfillment. The intramurals can be anything from serious league play to regular pickup games. Work hard play hard is the rule of thumb. The multiple a capella groups are amazing.
