Multiple ivies

Will applying to more than one ivy decrease my chances of getting into any one of them? i heard the ivies compare applicants and only allow a student into one of the schools… of the ivies, i applied to harvard, dartmouth, cornell, princeton, yale, and upenn. would i only be admitted to cornell, if any, since it is considered the “lesser” ivy?

That's definitely just a myth. Many people are accepted to multiple Ivies.

I think the only time when Ivies compare applicants is when they release the list of people accepted under early plans to make sure that the same person didn't apply to two schools with single-choice EA plans or so that a person who's accepted under a binding ED plan doesn't then apply to other schools.
