What do you feel about people with multiple piercings? Does your opinon change of a person who has multiple piercings? Would it jeopardize your chances at college and work interviews? I'm just wondering, so I decided to take a survey.

bump… Any opinons?

Couldn’t you just take out your piercings before said interviews if it really bothered you that much?

Just wanted to mention that a highly qualified person I know was recently NOT hired because he has piercing, including sparkly earring and a ear gauge. The employer & other staff thought it would NOT be a good corporate look to work with their employers (attorneys and companies) nor with the physicians they would see as part of the job.

Infections are always a risk as well.

when you mean multiple, do you also upper ear piercing? (cartilage) because that is what I have. I think it looks classy on me, but can look VERY trashy on a lot of girls. If must, I guess I could take it out, or easily hide it. Probably will grow out of it and take it out anyways.

Ear piercings are attractive and actually make you look more formal for interviews. Some nose piercings are ok but you can easily live with or without them. Upper cartilage, mouth, eyebrow, tongue, gages, belly button etc are all unattractive IMO and I don’t like girls who wear all those. You can conceal a belly button piecring for interviews but any of those others are not very good at all.

Belly button piercings are gross and get infected a lot. I have my cartilage pierced and it looks pretty normal. Getting my lobes pierced again I think and considering my nose.

IMO, in general, ear piercings and maybe a nose piercing can be done with grace and not look trashy. Otherwise, take it out.

Idk about guys… I’ve always been put off by guys with piercings, but maybe that’s just me?

I have pretty radical piercings according to some (spider bites -not snakebites- and an industrial). At work, where it matters, it might be a good idea to take them out…

College interviews aren’t weighed heavily enough to be a deal breaker. If your interviewer just doesn’t like piercings and the interview didn’t seem to go well because of that (which, IMO, is an indicator of immaturity), then you can just email the college and say you didn’t think the interview went that great. Piercings should not be a deal breaker when it comes to college admissions.

I don’t have multiple piercings, but I have standard ear lobe piercings. I am considering getting another pair of ear lobe piercings above my first piercings. If I get it done, I would take them out for college and work interviews, if I still have them in at that time. I was wondering about how people felt about others with multiple piercings. If they thought they were unprofessional and trashy looking.

I am a male and when I see another male with diamond studs or gages, I know we can’t be friends. Something about them just reeks of ******. On women, earrings and belly-button rings can be cute.

I don’t like it. I feel the kinda like Wiscongene except I always hate belly-button rings

FYI : I asked my husband ,a Harvard alum who does interviews ,if he would mention multiple piercings . He said he would comment on any piercings other than a few in the ear area .

I think that for girls, anything other than first and second lobe piercing needs to be OUT for any formal job interview. For guys, all sorts of piercings need to be out. This is, of course, excluding any piercings that can be hidden by clothing.

For some jobs I can totally see how it would be ok/wouldn’t matter, but for anything serious I’d just get rid of my piercings for the day.
