multiple questions about aps

hey, i plan on taking ap calc bc, ap bio, and ap english next year (senior year).

i really want to take ap psychology, but my school doesn't offer it. i definitely can self-study, and i have no problem doing so, but when i apply to colleges next fall/winter, am i like supposed to let them know that i'm doing that? obviously, i'd want them to know that i plan on taking another ap test, but how would that work exactly?

another question: i also want to take ap chemistry. i took honors chem soph year, and got around a 90 for the year. to be completely honest, i don't think i studied once, and i slacked off all year. i'd put an effort into ap chem of course, but is it worth taking? how difficult?

im prepping for ap chem right now. its pretty hard, but its different from say...biology. its very straightfoward but hard. sometimes it takes practice & more thinking than certain math/sciences. its good to it get right the first time - i mean like get the facts down right the first time. after a few attempts, it gets confusing (at least for me). try to read a textbook first. im using zumdahl & i HATE it.

i self-studied for ap bio & got a 5. its pretty interesting, don't try to cram, use barrons throughout the yr & you'll do well. i didnt practice the essays, which i definitely regret. i was so scared that id get a 4.

alright nice, thanks for the info... but to my other question, when you self study for a test, do you or is there a way to notify colleges you're applying to that you will be taking that test that coming may after applying

oh sorry im stupid i -

no you don't need to tell them anything b/c you took the test - you just send your scores. it wont really be for admission purposes, more for course selection purposes then.
